Emma Wright
Emma is a young, talented vocalist who brings a superb atmosphere to any function. She has a wide array of songs to suit every age and has the crowd up and dancing every time. Her sole intention is to give the crowd a
thoroughly
enjoyable night by entertaining them with her voice.
From the moment Emma could talk she learned all of the words to Mariah Carey's 'Without You' and sang to her Mother's video camera every day. At the age of six, her parents decided to let her start dancing lessons at The Karen Hunter Dance Studio. Here, Karen heard her voice and she was then given the position to sing at the front of the dance
troupe. They performed at countless dance and charity events and Emma was known as the 'Rising Star'. As her parents began to realise that Emma was interested in all aspects of performing, they let her audition for a place at Scream Theatre Schools at just 8 years old. She was accepted, and it was here that she improved her vocal technique, danced and also learned how to act. Performing Arts has always been her passion, which shows through in every performance.
As the winner of 2009's 'Fylde's Got Talent' at the Lowther Pavillion, the stage is certainly no stranger for Emma. As well as winning other competitions, She has sang at the Mayoral Ball, where she received praise from the Mayor of Blackpool herself and many other important guests. She is proud to have performed at many shows at Blackpool's Winter Gardens, Tower Ballroom and Grand Theatre, and has also sang at Bartle Hall and the stunning Whitbarrow Holiday Village in the Lake District.
Emma's influences are the likes of Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Duffy and Amy Winehouse. She often sings these artists' songs in her set and is sometimes told that she sounds better than the original artist! She has a wide range of party anthems that have her audience dancing through the night, yet she manages to keep the balance with legendary ballads to captivate her audience's attention.
Emma's comment: "When I finish a show and have given it my all, I'm grateful that I enjoy how I make a living. But when a stranger comes up to me and comments on how much they enjoyed their evening because of my performance, it really makes it worthwhile."
